HMD Global is releasing a mysterious Nokia X phone on 27 April

We will see what HMD Global plans to do with these phones when it release date comes around. The latest reports suggest the company is looking to launch yet another smartphone - called the Nokia X - on April 27 in China. From feature phones like the Nokia 3310 (2017) to low-priced Android smartphones like the Nokia 1 and premium handsets like the Nokia 8 Sirocco, HMD has revived the Nokia brand especially in core Asian markets such as India.

Unlike the original, which ran a forked version of AOSP (Android Open Source Project) software, the new generation Nokia X is expected to be powered by pure Android, most probably v8.1 Oreo. As you can notice below, the ads seemingly show renders of the new phone forming an X. Unfortunately, that doesn't reveal much about the device.

And the 25-year-old admits that the prospect of lifting Europe's top honour would invariably trump any personal accolades. If it was me and I touched the ball I would try and claim it as well!

HMD is knowing to revive old Nokia phones like the Nokia 3310 last year and the Nokia 8810 "banana phone" this year. However, the 2014 Nokia X, which was launched back in 2014, was a massive failure as it did not come with a Google Play Store, among other things.

Going by the image, Nokia X is likely to sport a curved 2.5D glass cover on the edges and come with the metallic shell on the back.
