Donkey Kong champion reacts to controversy

Famous competitive gamer Billy Mitchell was one of the best arcade gamers of all time getting high scores in the likes of Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and more.

After investigating the claims, Twin Galaxies released a statement saying: "We now believe that Mitchell's submissions are not from an original unmodified Donkey Kong arcade printed circuit board and so our investigation of the tape content ends with that conclusion and assertion". Mitchell unsurprisingly says he did everything by the rules and stated that "everything will be made available to you, nothing will be withheld'". While it seems unlikely at this point that Twin Galaxies would reverse its decision to delete Mitchell's high score, we nearly certainly haven't heard the last from Mitchell who will surely continue to provide new wrinkles in this story moving forward.
