18-year-old motorcyclist killed in Valley Center crash

A teenage motorcyclist suspected of driving drunk died Saturday after he lost control in a turn, slid into the path of a auto and was struck in Valley Center, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Mac Tan Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The man came to a bend in the road and apparently lost control of his bike.

Officers say driving under the influence hasn't been ruled out as a possible factor in the crash.
