Chelsea boss Conte claims Morata can benefit from striking struggles

Real Madrid could be set to make a move to re-sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The 25-year-old was left out of the Spain squad for their recent friendly games and he had only scored one goal this year ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spaniard's persistent back injury has become the source of major frustration and the the forward has picked up five yellow cards and one sending off in recent weeks.

"Now Alvaro is really fit, 100 per cent, and ready to have an important final of the season: for Chelsea and then, for him, to have the chance to go and play in the World Cup".

"He has been working very well, and he needed to work hard".

Cahill falling out of favour at club level has had a bearing on his global fortunes, although doubts over Andreas Christensen's fitness and David Luiz remaining sidelined with a knee injury means he is likely to return in central defence against Tottenham. "Two years ago, they were very close to winning the title when Leicester won it".

The defending champions are looking to overtake Mauricio Pochettino's side and seal a top-four finish that will ensure Champions League action next season.

"These are our targets".

"In England, if you stay here, never, never will it be easy to win trophies".

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could miss the game after picking up a hamstring injury on worldwide duty with Belgium while defender David Luiz is still battling a knee injury.
