Now that Toys "R" Us is closing its doors nationwide, what happens if you still have unused gift cards?

Toys "R" Us filed for bankruptcy in September and in February it announced the MA locations in Millbury, Bellingham, Northborough and Framingham and a Babies "R" Us in the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside would all close.

The company has said that a firm timeline has yet to be determined.

Investment bank Jefferies estimated that the fallout from the Toys "R" Us liquidation will include a sales drop of 2.5% to 5.5% across the entire industry in 2018, as Reuters reported.

"Based on my experience, they can't survive much longer". The WARN Act requires companies to file 60 day layoff notices in advance of any closings.

It was not clear on Monday evening how numerous stores Amazon was considering buying.
