Headliners For Electric Picnic Announced

Picnic chief Melvin Benn yesterday revealed 30,000 tickets had already been sold for the 52,000 capacity Laois venue.

Kendrick Lamar, Massive Attack and NERD will take to the main stage across the weekend.

Electric Picnic has bounced back in style with the announcement that Kendrick Lamar will headline this year's festival at Stradbally Hall, Laois from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September. The two acts signal a statement of intent from the already almost sold-out festival, one that says they are determined to not fall by the wayside by championing genres and acts that are still part of the zeitgeist.

The final round of weekend tickets for this year's bash went on sale at 9am last Saturday morning with queues forming at ticket outlets around the county. We know you've been Busy Earnin' so we've been busy buildin' a festival line-up that's gonna Be The One they'll all remember in 2018.

Rodney Hood returned from a lower back injury only to aggravate it again and be limited to 19 minutes. And yet, the Cavs' hold on fourth place in the East is now just a half game over Washington.

"I work with them".

He added: "There'll be plenty of pop in Stradbally too this year with acts like George Ezra and The Kooks appearing". Friendly Fires and Chvrches were also announced.

Describing the festival as "one of the most important cultural events" in Ireland, Benn and organisers worked hard to ensure a great line-up for fans to enjoy this year.
