Ruckus in Gujarat Assembly as Congress, BJP members come to blows

The action is being seen as unprecedented by political analysts. After the attack on Panchal, the speaker suspended Dudhat for the rest of the Budget Session. The entire Opposition staged a walkout in protest against the ruling, even as state Congress chief Bharatsinh Solanki dubbed it "partisan, unparliamentary and undemocratic".

Senior Congress legislator Vikram Madam tried to raise a question and participate in the issue but was repeatedly shouted down by the members from treasury benches. He wanted to know whether the government would table the report of the commission which probed the deaths.

The speaker ruled that such point of order - as sought by Madam - can not be raised.

Madam, however, insisted that he would speak and was supported, at that time, by Congress MLA Amrish Der, who asked the Speaker to allow Madam to speak. As, one by one, other Congress MLAs also started asking the same question of the Speaker, there was chaos in the House and the atmosphere became tense.

CNN to Move Chris Cuomo to Primetime in the Spring
In total viewers, Cuomo averaged 1.11 total viewers in prime time and finished 25th overall against its competition. Cuomo began his test run in early January with his temporary show Cuomo Prime Time , which aired in the 9 PM slot.

At this point, BJP MLA Jagdish Panchal passed some remarks that agitated Der, who rushed towards the Well of the House. Fortunately, the microphone missed Panchal.

The action created a furore in the House as nearly everybody got excited and started shouting. "House has been adjourned now, once the session resumes we'll decide what action needs to be taken", said Nitin Patel. "The CCTV footage will prove everything", said deputy chief minister Nitin Patel.

Legislators here clashed during the discussion on the deaths of two cousins staying at the self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's ashram for children. But our voices are being gagged. For the last six to seven days, BJP MLA Jagdish Panchal has been uttering bad words and using foul language against me in the House.
