Qatar Airways Adds Canberra to Australia Network

Qatar Airways Adds Canberra to Australia Network

On the launch day, H.E. Akbar Al Baker, group CEO, Qatar Airways, attended an official meeting with Steven Ciobo, minister, trade, tourism and investment, Australia, at Parliament House. Having inaugurated flights to Adelaide and Sydney in 2016, we quickly realised the need for further expansion of our footprint in Australia, and what better place than the capital, Canberra?

Four weekly seasonal flights to Mykonos International Airport will be operated by an Airbus A320, featuring 12 business class seats and 132 economy class seats. "We look forward to offering holidaymakers the convenience of direct service to this enchanting island this summer".

Canberra Airport's Executive Chairman Terry Snow said: "We appreciate Qatar Airways' strong support for the nation's capital".

United mistakenly flies Kansas family's dog to Japan
Swindle said that United didn't know how the mistake happened, but she was told by the airline that the kennels were similar. Later, they learned that United swapped the dogs' itineraries and mistakenly put Irgo on a flight to Japan.

It is only the second worldwide airline to fly to Canberra, that has a population of around 1 million across the capital state territory.

Qatar Airways is only the second airline to operate regular global flights in and out of Canberra, along with Singapore Airlines. The Canberra service will also stop in Sydney, where passengers can disembark, creating a second daily flight into the popular destination.
