Netflix's Sabrina Series Casts Disney Channel's Ross Lynch as Harvey

Now, fans are speculating that Ross actually auditioned for the role of Harvey in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - and honestly, we'd so be okay if he booked that!

The one hour drama will feature Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, a young half witch torn between two worlds.

Lynch's role of Harvey Kinkle is Sabrina's boyfriend.

In addition to Lynch and Shipka, the series will star Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, and Bronson Pinchot.

Sabrina is based on the comic book Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which reimagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Sabrina is noted as "intelligent, compassionate, and courageous to the point of recklessness", an "empowered young woman who is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress", and the sole person who stand between humans and the terrors that could kill them all. His previous credits include starring roles in Disney Channel's Austin & Ally and TV movie Teen Beach 2.

Lynch recently starred in the film "My Friend Dahmer" as notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The Chiling Adventures of Sabrina comic book series features brief appearances by Archie characters like Betty and Veronica, but it is primarily a self-contained narrative. The upcoming series is more of an adaptation of the comics by the same name written by Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with art by Robert Hack than a remake of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the show that aired on ABC in the late 1990s. Lee Toland Krieger, who has directed multiple episodes of "Riverdale", will direct and executive produce. The show is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros.
