Bomb attack on military kitchen in Yemen kills four

Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) has claimed responsibility for a vehicle bomb attack on a military kitchen in the south of Yemen, the militant group's news agency Amaq said on Tuesday. The force of the blast damaged stores and cars nearby.

The explosion happened near a security centre of Yemen troops in Aden's neighbourhood of Mansourah, Xinhua quotes the Interior Ministry in Aden source as saying. Islamic State last month claimed responsibility for an attack targeting the headquarters of a counter-terrorism unit in Aden that killed at least 14 people, including the attackers.

During the past two years, the al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and other terrorist groups including the IS have had an active presence in Yemen's southern part.

The attack in the north of the port city hit an army mess hall serving the so-called Security Belt brigade, supported by government ally the UAE.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Inc (HGV) Sees Significant Increase in Short Interest
Two equities research analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and seven have assigned a buy rating to the company. Finally, Bank of New York Mellon Corp increased its holdings in Hilton Grand Vacations by 10.8% during the 3rd quarter.

The fighting further intensified in 2015, when clashes broke out between the present Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi's government forces and Former Yemen president Ali Abdullah Saleh loyalist forces.

The impoverished Arab country has been mired in a civil war since the Iranian-backed Shiite Houthi rebels overran much of the country militarily and seized all northern provinces, including capital Sanaa, in 2014.

The UAE entered Yemen in 2015 as part of the Saudi-led coalition to assist the Yemeni government with threats posed by the Iranian-backed Houthi group which now controls the capital Sana'a.
