Yoel Romero Says He's Fighting Robert Whittaker at UFC 225

He won the interim title against Yoel Romero in 2017, and then was promoted to an undisputed champion, after Geroges St-Pierre vacated the title that he won against Michael Bisping.

Unfortunately Whittaker suffered a awful illness that forced him out of the fight.

Romero was ruled out of contention for the title after missing weight, but a third-round TKO victory over Rockhold ultimately solidified his spot as the No. 1 contender.

No, Harry Kane's ankle hasn't been diagnosed yet
The injury occurred after a collision with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic in the first half at Dean Court. Kane left the field against Bournemouth with an ankle problem and the damage remains unknown.

Now it will be interesting to see if Romero can duplicate this in his rematch with Whittaker. On an eight fight win streak, the champion has not lost since 2014, and holds wins over Uriah Hall, Jacare Souza, and Derek Brunson, in addition to the Romero win. The promotion reportedly targets the middleweight championship between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero to serve as its main event. "I was very happy". The people that have fought with me, if they want to be honest and we're not even talking about if they won or loss, we're talking about the gas, if it's as easy to get that rhythm going. [I was happy because] I learned. He was supposed to defend the belt against Luke Rockhold at UFC 221 but had to pull out due to injury. I learned about timing. They controlled my attacks, so I learned when to attack.

Now it appears Whittaker will face the man he defeated to win the title last July after edging out Romero in a back and forth war that lasted all five rounds.

UFC officials haven't made a formal announcement of the title rematch, which is expected to headline the card. So, if you're a top tier middleweight in the UFC, this news might be a wee bit stressful for you.
