GUJRANWALA: Police on Wednesday released a man after brief detention in a case pertaining to a shoe attack that was aimed at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan.

The PTI chief is visiting towns and cities across the country to aid the party's ongoing membership campaign.

A person in attendance at a political rally addressed by PTI chief hurled a shoe at him to mark disrespect of the political leader.

PTI district president Ijaz Janjua said on Tuesday Imran Khan would arrive at Multan Airport at 12 in the noon where party's South Punjab office-bearers would receive him.
