Shah Rukh Khan's Raees co-star Narendra Jha passes away

He was an alumni of Jawaharlal Nehru Unviversity, Delhi, and later traveled to Mumbai because he wanted to become an actor. Jha passed away after suffering a heart attack in his farm house in Wada, Nashik. According to media reports, this was his third attack.

"He had no health issues and last night he was fine".

Jha has been in the industry for more than two decades now, but got his recognition only recently with films like Vishal Bhardwaj's "Haider", Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro", Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi's "Hamari Adhuri Kahaani", Sunny Deol's "Ghayal Once Again" and John Abraham's "Force 2".

Born in Bihar's Madhubani, Jha made debut in Bollywood in the 90s. He also played an important role in Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Last Hero by Shyam Benegal but caught the public eye with his portrayal as Dr Hilal Meer, Shahid Kapoor's on-screen father in Haider.

As soon as the news broke, Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the actor. Rahul Dholakia, who directed Raees, tweeted: "Gosh!" Rest in peace my friend.

"Gosh! Tragic. Shocking. Musa bhai no more??"
