Russell Westbrook gets 100th career triple-double as Thunder defeat Hawks

With a little more than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Westbrook grabbed a Taurean Prince rebound off a missed 3-pointer to get his 10th rebound of the night.

The "100 club" is no doubt full of elite icons-Westbrook now trails only Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138) and Jason Kidd (107) for triple-doubles in a career.

Westbrook had 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, becoming the fourth player in National Basketball Association history to have at least 100 career triple doubles, joining Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Jason Kidd. Carmelo Anthony capped the game-deciding run with his sixth 3-pointer of the game.

Jerami Grant had a nice game off the bench with 20 points, including two three-pointers, one of which gave OKC a five point lead at 108-103 after the Hawks had tied the game at 103.

Westbrook scored seven points, while Grant knocked down a 3 and converted a three-point play - both off assists by Westbrook.

Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Paul George suffered a groin injury Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks, head coach Billy Donovan told reporters.

Prince and Schroder each scored 14 points in the first half and fueled a big second quarter that saw the Hawks build a 66-54 halftime lead.

The Hawks have been playing for the future for months and are already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but they hung tough against the Thunder.
