How American Idol Did In The Ratings

American Idol is back!

American Idol 2018 made it's triumphant return Sunday night with a touching voiceover intro from Carrie Underwood.

ABC revives one of the biggest shows "American Idol" that premiers on Sunday.

Keep up with the "American Idol" community and see what's trending on social media from judges, contestants and fans. Sunday night we got a first glimpse at the competition, and a chance to see how two singer/songwriters from the DE valley did when given their big shot at singing for the judges.

This week, the show returns after a two-year hiatus following its cancellation on Fox.

Many people received glowing praise from the judges throughout the rest of the two-hour season premiere and were given tickets to compete.

Katy Perry then chimed in and explained that one of the greatest advantages of the show is that the judges only have a limited influence. The reboot features a man behind-the-scenes who is from Metro Detroit. Let's wait and see! Back to the audition. "That's going up on the fridge", Glaze said. "I work with the vocal coaches". "It's disgusting", said Perry before showcasing her unique skill.

While this doesn't seem like much of an update, this results in a 15 per cent performance compared to its predecessor. We have been delighted by the take-up of the board by professional design engineers.

The judges also may help the contestants set new goals, Perry said. "I couldn't get you off my mind", Richie said, telling Bultongez that he was changing his vote. Lionel Richie loved the "storyteller" in her voice. Lionel Richie approved her as fit for Hollywood because "you're strong", he asserted.

Koby, 26, Denver, CO.

"I sang an original song that I wrote called 'Yard Sale.' It was nerve-wracking singing my own song in front of incredible singers and songwriters". She starts belting it out and it's a bit too theatrical, screamy, over-the-top. And Luke added that she'd be doing herself a disservice by doing singing as her career. I ended that article by saying, "This isn't a goodbye - not really".

Trying for redemption from performing what was dubbed "the worst national anthem ever, ' when she was 11 years old, Harper Grace from Mckinney, Texas, is up next, singing an original country music song". He started playing guitar when he was 16 years old. She performed "Young, Dumb and Broke" by Khalid, and Lionel loved the quality of her voice. Hollywood, here she comes.

But who I'm going with is 16-year-old Alyssa Raghu, who wowed everyone with her cover of Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' "Almost is Never Enough". Ripa sang her rendition of the jazz standard "Why Don't You Do Right?" The judges passed on him. First was 18-year-old Catie Turner from Langhorne. Pa.

"I should've fought for him", Bryan declared to Richie. "Good night, America. For now", he said as the screen faded to black after Trent Harmon's victory over runner-up La'Porsha Renae.
