YouTube extends its 'Dark Theme' to Android and iOS

For folks who have tried the dark theme option on the desktop version of YouTube, you should be happy to know it's finally coming to mobile devices as well.

It looks like Google is in the process of rolling out a new update for the YouTube app, which will add a new dark mode, similar to the one that's been released on desktop previous year.

To activate the dark theme, head to the YouTube app settings and slide the little switch next to "dark theme" to the right ... and hey presto! While that was tantalizing preview, the makeover it delivered didn't extend to all corners of the app.

'The Voice' Dominates a Diminished 'Idol' in Night 2
The Good Doctor easily topped the 10 PM hour competition, which included Week 3 of NBC's Good Girls (1.1, 4.7 million). Lucifer (2.94 mil/0.7) dipped below 3 million viewers for the first time ever while matching last week's demo low.

Youtube is going dark on iOS and Android with a new update. Although there is no way of making the app automatically switching between the dark and light themes depending on the time of the day, the addition of the new dark theme will be welcomed by many.

YouTube recently rolled out a Dark Mode to its website, and frankly, it's hot.
