Warhammer: Vermintide 2 sells 500k copies

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has been out for just a few days on PC, and has already reached a notable milestone.

"While our primary focus for the months to come will be to listen to the community and ensure the best possible experience of Vermintide 2, we also have a general plan set up for the post-release period", Fatshark said.

One of the biggest releases in the PC gaming scene right now is independent developer Fatshark's blood-fueled adventure Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

The number of Vermintide 2 copies sold so far is impressive on its own, but it's even more impressive consiodering that Fatshark hasn't yet released the home console versions of its latest title. Developer Fatshark has revealed the game's post-release development roadmap - the future looks exciting and, well, full of rats.

Since launch, players have apparently killed over 50 billion enemies and spent a total of 204 million minutes watching people stream the game on Twitch. Other new features include 15 hero careers, new environments, talent trees and the proprietary Heroic Deeds System.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is now available on PC and will release on PS4 and Xbox One later this year, with console betas happening later this Spring.
