SC earns No. 2 seed, learns NCAA regional

North Carolina A&T, fresh off winning its second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament title in three seasons, will head to Columbia to play SC in Colonial Life Arena.

SC (26-6) earned a No. 2 seed in its 15th berth in the NCAA Tournament and will face 15th-seeded North Carolina A&T (23-8) on Fri., March 16, at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the contest set to be televised on ESPN2 in the event's opening round.

The game is scheduled for 7:30 Colonial Life Arena, and ESPN2 will televise it.

As for the second round, Staley acknowledged the outside attention a game against Virginia, her alma mater, would bring.
