Rain & Snow Early, Slowly Clearing Skies Tomorrow

Rain & Snow Early, Slowly Clearing Skies Tomorrow

Tonight clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to drop in the low-mid 20s.

The snow showers will be pouring in from north to south later today and a few of these streamers will limit visibility, lay down a coating or more, and make travel at least temporarily tricky. Friday's highs reach the low 70s. We will have some occasional showers through the weekend. Highs will top out in the 50's with even some 60's possible in the southwest Montana valleys by this afternoon. Although Friday will start off dry under a mostly sunny sky, we'll see showers in the forecast by late afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy, and temperatures will be colder than yesterday. Most roadways are just wet thanks to warm surface temperatures in the 40s from yesterday. The low will be near 28.

United stifled Liverpool's exhilarating attack early on at Old Trafford and raced into a two-goal lead with 24 minutes on the clock after a double from Rashford.

You might need to get the blankets out and turn the heater on tonight as lows will be dropping into the lower 40s, with some upper 30s possible for our northern parishes and rural areas. Although the weather looks fairly quiet the rest of the week, it also will be cooler than average for March and feel more like winter than February did around here. The next chance of rain or a mix will be Sunday night into Monday. Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will shift to a more southwesterly direction opening the door to milder weather by afternoon with temperatures climbing well into the 50s.

Spring officially begins next Tuesday, March 20, at 12:15 p.m. with the arrival of the vernal equinox.
