West Bank-based Palestine TV later showed footage of Hamdallah giving a speech at the plant and broadcast images of a jeep with windows blown out. He said in the address that three cars were damaged.

A statement on official Palestinian media said Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas considered it a "cowardly targeting" of Hamdallah's convoy and held Hamas responsible.

The Hamas militant group has condemned the Gaza explosion that targeted the convoy of visiting Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.

Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill seeks to impound, sell assets of fraudsters
The Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill 2018 will be applicable for all offences where the monetary value exceeds Rs100 crore. It may be recalled that the Union Cabinet had earlier this month given its nod for the Bill.

Greenblatt reportedly said that the conference will focus on ideas to enhance the Gaza Strip's economy and living conditions, and urged Islamic Hamas movement running the coastal enclave since 2007 to give up armed resistance and commit to peace negotiations.

Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said the attack on the consensus government was an attack on the unity of the Palestinian people, according Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The explosion occurred near the spot where a USA diplomatic convoy was blown up by a remote-controlled bomb in 2003 shortly after it entered the Gaza Strip.
