Drake opens tourney at A&M

The Providence College men's basketball team earned an at-large bid to the 2018 NCAA Tournament on Sunday night.

"It means a lot", Texas head coach Karen Aston said. "Thirteen straight NCAA Tournaments. We've never lost at home when we've played here in the first round, but we'll have to worry about the second round later".

The URI Rams will be a 7 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament and face 10th seeded Oklahoma in the first round on Thursday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Texas A&M has been seeded sixth-or-better in all 13 of their consecutive tournament appearances. "It is a good feeling when you know you're in".

(NYSE:ORI) Stake Lessened by Pinnacle Associates Ltd.
The insurance provider reported $0.33 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.28 by $0.05. As of now, Old Republic International Corporation has a P/S, P/E and P/B values of 0.89, 10.1 and 1.19 respectively.

Texas is making its 31st all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament, which ranks fourth among all NCAA Division I programs. The Aggies have hosted the first and second rounds five out of the last seven years. The Aggies haven't made it out of the second round since 2015 when they lost in the Elite Eight to perennial powerhouse UConn.

Of course, PC wasn't the only Rhode Island team playing in a big game on Friday. The victor of that game, which tips at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, faces the Texas A&M-Drake victor in the Second Round on Sunday, March 18 inside Reed Arena.
