CM Punk reveals he's fighting at UFC 225 on Twitter

Responding to a scathing tweet asking when we'd see Punk "cry again" inside the cage, the ex-WWE star announced that he'd be shedding tears for a very different reason (victory) on 9 June.

As expected, the former professional wrestling superstar for the WWE, Phil "CM Punk" Brooks will be giving MMA another go after his terrible debut back at UFC 203 in September of 2016.

He began working with Roufusport MMA Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home to multiple current and former UFC Champions.

As TMZ Sports noted, this is the date of UFC 225 in Chicago, which happens to be his hometown.

Punk hasn't fought since UFC 203 back in September 2016 when he suffered a brutal submission loss in the 1st round to Gall. While the card also featured a heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem, a fair amount of that interest could be attributed to Punk.

(NYSE:ORI) Stake Lessened by Pinnacle Associates Ltd.
The insurance provider reported $0.33 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.28 by $0.05. As of now, Old Republic International Corporation has a P/S, P/E and P/B values of 0.89, 10.1 and 1.19 respectively.

Punk landed all six of his shots in the clinch, but Gall threw sharp elbows early in the first round that opened up his opponent. He was immediately signed by the UFC, but his debut didn't go well by any standard. He's a good dude, ' White said. "He's healthy now and interested in fighting".

The two actually have some type of history because CM Punk insinuated Mike Jackson was just a scrub during an interview two years ago.

White, for the record, has yet to comment on Punk's latest statement.

There is also now no word as to who CM Punk's potential opponent will be.
