Transfer report: In-demand RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner rejects contract extension

RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is now one of Germany's hottest young strikers having found the net 14 times in 25 appearances for the Bundesliga side this season, adding to his 21 goals last season.

With an upcoming World Cup that he expects to be a part of, his future could well be shaped by his performances in Russian Federation this summer.

"If you take Germany, it would be a lie to say that you would not like to play for Bayern", the former VfB Stuttgart striker said.

"Spain - Barca or Real".

You could say that of course. "Honestly, it was not an easy game even if we scored five". "Porto are a very good side". The German coach hailed his star forwards' determination, after his team pressed an outclassed Porto into submission.

His deal expires in the summer, and he is liked by half the Premier League, including teams like Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

"There are so many clubs you'd like to play for. I don't see me there right now". He's also netted three goals in six Champions League outings. Hopefully, I'll go the World Cup after that, and only then I will think about the future.

Leipzig have denied reports that Werner is eyeing a summer move but, according to Tuttosport, their cause hasn't been helped by the 21-year-old's decision to reject a contract extension. My contract says that I should, must, can, will play here for another two years.
