Trump fumes after disgraced aides resign over abuse claims

Porter resigned from his post at the White House on Wednesday amid abuse allegations from two ex-wives.

In his resignation statement, Porter himself said "these outrageous allegations are simply false".

He supported former Fox News executive Roger Ailes, who since has died, as he faced harassment allegations. The Harvard Law School grad previously worked as a senior adviser to Jeb Bush's 2016 presidential campaign and Sen. Corbett claimed she never turned to ME police with the allegations because of Sorensen's connections in law enforcement. Two of Porter's ex-wives say they suffered years of abuse, including physical altercations.

As White House staff secretary, Porter was responsible for reviewing all documents signed by the president.

Conway made similar statements on CNN's State of the Union with Jake Tapper, saying the president had instructed her to make it clear that Kelly's job is safe.

The allegations reportedly include Sorensen driving over his ex-wife's foot, putting out a cigarette on her hand, pulling her hair, and throwing her into a wall.

A second White House official has resigned amid allegations of domestic violence and emotional abuse of a spouse.

On Friday, Trump said Porter had done a "very good job" in the White House, but was now having "a tough time".

Porter had been under fire since Willoughby and Colbie Holderness, another of Porter's exes, shared their stories of domestic abuse and that they'd previously told the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has denied the charges.

"But it was very sad when we heard about it and certainly he's also very sad now".

Trump on Friday offered praise for Porter. But the aftershocks of his resignation continue amid concerns about his access to classified information.

Porter resigned Wednesday after his two ex-wives said he had physically abused them.
