Brooke Henderson ninth at Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic

Brittany Lincicome on Sunday birdied four of final five holes to win her second consecutive Bahamas LPGA Classic, finishing in near-darkness to capture the shortened season opener by two strokes.

Henderson shot an even-par 73 to get to 5 under overall after two rounds and three days at the Ocean Club in the event cut to 54 holes after wind wiped out play most of Friday.

The 32-year-old Lincicome won her eighth career title.

World number one Feng is attempting to win her third tournament in her last four tries going back to previous year.

Lincicome posted a bogey-free back nine to complete her second round Sunday morning and get within two of the lead, before mixing three birdies with one blemish to reach the turn in 34 in her final round. He didn't make a birdie on the back nine in regulation.

"If someone had told me at the start of the year you'd finish third (in Abu Dhabi) and second in your first two events, I would have said I'd take that", said McIlroy.

Feng stood on seven-under par 139 after completing 36 holes with South Korean Amy Yang second on 140 after a second-round 68.

"We both played some pretty good golf, especially down 18 going back and forth, back and forth, which is good entertainment for the fans", Day said.

"I got a lot out of my rounds", Woods said.

Feng had a 71 to tie for third with Yang (70) at 9 under. They made pars on the 16th and 17th holes, with having the best chance to end it on the par-3 16th until his 12-foot putt stayed on the right edge.

Lincicome birdied the par-5 11th, par-4 14th and par-5 15th, chipping to 4 feet on 15 to tie Hsu at 11 under.

Hsu bogeyed the par-3 17th when her putt horseshoed out and closed with a birdie on the par-5 18th.

Holmes effectively fell out of the hunt when he missed the 15th green with a wedge and took bogey, and then missed a 4-foot par putt on the 16th hole.

"My putter has been phenomenal these last three days", Lincicome said.
