Patriots QB Tom Brady limited in practice with right hand injury

The team later listed Brady as limited on the injury report due to an injury to his right hand, which, importantly, is his throwing hand.

It was the Patriots' first practice in preparation for Sunday's game against Jacksonville.

In addition to Brady, offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle, defensive tackle Alan Branch and running backs Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee were all limited with knee injuries.

The pair put on 130 for the sixth wicket with Nicholls unbeaten on 83 while Astle, in only his second ODI, was out in the final over for 49.

Brady has been on and off the injury report at times this season - for an Achilles and his left shoulder.

THE PATRIOTS had ideal attendance at practice last week ahead of their AFC divisional round matchup with the Tennessee Titans. He was replaced on the 53-man roster by wide receiver and kick returner Bernard Reedy, who was on the practice squad. Mitchell has been on the injured reserve all season with a knee injury, before he returned to practice in Week 17 as the second player designated to return off IR.

Boston Sports Journal's Christopher Price noted that Brady "has been seen flexing" the hand on and off since the midway point of Wednesday's practice.

Brady threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns in the divisional round win over the Titans.
