Roma are attempting to sell Emerson Palmieri to the Premier League and Liverpool are reportedly favourites to sign the left-back.

Palmieri came through the youth ranks at hometown club Santos in Brazil before joining Roma in the summer of 2015 following a season on loan at Palermo.

Chelsea has moved on to other options for a left back after dropping their interest from Alex Sandro with the Serie A giants demanding 60 million for the Brazilian.

Emerson has managed just two appearances in all competitions for Roma in the present campaign.

The Coming of a 'Sister Sister' Reboot Is Nigh
If you haven't heard yet, '90s nostalgia is in full swing - most recently evidenced by the upcoming Sister, Sister reboot. Way back in 2015, Meredith Vieira asked Sister, Sister star, Tia Mowry , about the possibility of a revival.

Indeed, according to Sky Italia, the Blues are instead working on a deal for Emerson.

Multiple sources in Italy state that there has been a genuine approach from the Premier League title holders for the left-back, who has also been linked with Juventus, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

The report says Palmieri is keen to secure a move to Stamford Bridge as he wants to work with Antonio Conte while Roma are understood to be willing to do business at around £20m.

With only Kenedy as an apparent viable back up for Marcos Alonso, Chelsea could certainly do with a natural fit in the role to help the Spaniard, who has only missed five games and could be in danger of getting exhausted during the second half of the season.
