Back To TV For New Apple Series

The "Saturday Night Live" alum will star in a half-hour comedy series from Apple and Reese Witherspoon's production company, Hello Sunshine.

Colleen McGuinness will serve as creator/showrunner and executive producer, alongside Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine and Wiig. Apple reportedly set a $1 billion budget to produce original TV shows and movies in 2017, so we'll presumably be hearing a lot more Apple development news over the coming months.

The untitled half-hour project is based on Curtis Sittenfeld's You Think It, I'll Say It, a collection of short stories that tackle issues of class, relationships and gender roles. She will also serve as an executive producer on the show.

State health department announces third Florida flu death
It's the most deadly flu season since the county began collecting records two decades ago, health officials said. If you can't make it to this clinic, go to flu.delaware.gov for information on how you can still get a flu shot.

This marks the second series in-development from Witherspoon at Apple following their two season order of a Morning show drama starring and executive produced by both Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. Sittenfeld will act as consulting producer.

The show is the most recent in a string of major project announcements from Apple. She and Jennifer Aniston will also star in a now untitled morning show drama for the streamer, and she will executive produce "Are You Sleeping", co-produced by Chernin Entertainment with Octavia Spencer attached to star.

Apple also recently greenlit a documentary series about extraordinary homes, a revival of "Amazing Stories" exec produced by Steven Spielberg and a new space drama from "Battlestar Galactica's" creator, Ronald D. Moore, called "See".
