This Oscar-Winning Actor will Star in Quentin Tarantino's Ninth Movie

Leonardo DiCaprio must have enjoyed his time working with Quentin Tarantino of Django Unchained, as Deadline reports that he signed on to star in the director's upcoming Charles Manson based movie.

Tarantino told IndieWire.com that the film would be more about the era rather than a biopic of Manson.

DiCaprio is the first major actor cast in the film, but there has been speculation about other top-tier actors joining the project.

Tarantino is understood to have asked Robbie to play Tate, the young "star of the future" who was stabbed 16 times by one of Manson's followers.

Freeland and Tillerson announced plans to hold the January 16 meeting during Tillerson's visit to Ottawa last month. Imports from the country also plunged 82 percent in December.

Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have also been tipped for significant roles in the film. DiCaprio and Robbie starred in Martin Scorsese's 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street. "It's not Charles Manson, it's 1969", Tarantino said. However, with the Manson movie expected to shoot later this year, it will mark his first film since his Oscar-winning role. The film is described as focusing on a TV actor looking to break into the film business, and the murders are a backdrop to that story.

DiCaprio will play an aging, out-of-work actor in the film. Yet, after a bevy of sexual assault allegations were levied at executive Harvey Weinstein, Tarantino made a decision to take his film to Sony Pictures.

Sony is scheduled to release the movie on August 9, 2019, which would coincide with the 50th anniversary of the slayings of nine people, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate, at the hands of Charles Manson's followers.
