Salah has responded to the speculation and it should put Liverpool fans' minds to rest, for now at least.

Five time Ballon D'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have failed to reach the highs of seasons previous in goals and Gareth Bale has spent most of this half of the season injured.

"But I have been treated very well at Liverpool and right now, I belong to Liverpool and I am happy at Anfield".

"It's always a good feeling for me to win this award because you work hard, you help the team to get points to achieve something", he added.

Liverpool have already let one of their star names leave the Anfield as Philippe Coutinho left for FC Barcalona for 160 million euros.

Salah has a memorable 2017, leading the Egyptian national team to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup, after 28 years of absence from the tournament.

To cap off a sweep of awards and an excellent year, Salah won the CAF's best African player of the year.

Tottenham are also expected to further strengthen their squad as Mauricio Pochettino tries to make that final push to make them genuine title contenders and Ceballos would fit the profile of the type of player he'd look for.

After holding talks this week regarding January transfers, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane seemed to have focused his intentions on one of the Premier League's top performers, Salah.

Liverpool player Mo Salah has hit out at rumours linking him with Real Madrid, and claimed that he will not be joining the La Liga giants, and that the reports linking him to the club were wrong.
