Both Ferrell and Bryant alluded to the future of Clemson football following the team's College Football Playoff loss to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and ultimately chose to put a stay on starting their professional careers. With a lot of their defensive stars expected to leave for the NFL Draft, it was pretty exciting news when coach Dabo Swinney announced that four of his studs are coming back for their senior season.

There's been no official word as to if standout defensive lineman Christian Wilkins will return for his final season.

CLEMSON - Clemson All-American defensive end Clelin Ferrell is returning to the Tigers next season. Hearn has graduated, but had another year of eligibility after red-shirting 2014. Ferrell shared team Rookie of the Year honors on defense with rising junior Dexter Lawrence in 2016, totaling 50 tackles, including 12.5 for loss and six sacks. He will be presented the Willis Award as the top Defensive Lineman in the nation by the Columbus (Ohio) Touchdown Club in February.

Ferrell led the Tigers in tackles for loss with 18 and sacks with 9.5 this past season, while Bryant was second with 15.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

Bryant, a 6-5, 265-pound junior, had 54 tackles, 14 1/2 tackles for loss, 7 1/2 sacks and 10 quarterback hurries in 10 games.

Ferrell and was named first-team All-ACC this past season, while Bryant was a second-team selection.
