Bulls top Pistons 107-105 in Zach LaVine's return

Drummond was dominating with nine points, four rebounds and three assists.

Zach LaVine suits up Sunday (AEDT) for the Bulls, nearly a year after knee surgery to fix a torn ACL suffered while still a member of the Wolves.

Rookie Lauri Markkanen hit the go-ahead jumper with 68 seconds remaining as the Chicago Bulls edged the Detroit Pistons 107-105 Saturday night at the United Center in Chicago. The teams have split the last 18 games in this series. Minnesota would later trade him last summer to the Bulls in a blockbuster deal that sent him along with Kris Dunn, the rights to draft Lauri Markkanen, and Justin Patton for All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler. Stan Van Gundy said tests have shown no structural damage, but that Johnson is feeling "just really, really tight and he has problems moving in one direction".

Andre Drummond has averaged 14.8 rebounds over his 10 career road games versus the Bulls, but the Pistons have gone just 3-7 in those contests. The game featured 23 lead changes and seven ties. The Pistons also finished the first half in playoff position and have a favorable schedule, getting 23 of their final 41 games at home including 11 of the next 13.

The Bulls entered the game 15-27 while the Pistons were 22-18.

This Is The All-New 2019 Chevrolet Silverado
Twelve of them are fixed and can handle 500 pounds each - twice the maximum capacity of the tie-downs in the outgoing Silverado. Its wheelbase is almost four inches longer, while the overall length is up 1.6 inches and height is up by about an inch.

The Bulls were one of the surprise teams of the league for a little while there, but they've really cooled off lately and you could probably say the same thing about the Pistons.

They made their first six shots on the way to a 68.2 percent quarter.

For the Pelicans, DeMarcus Cousins had 29 points and eight rebounds. The fourth-year guard followed with an easy 15-footer at the 8:12 mark in the first quarter to give Chicago an early 12-11 lead.

Mirotic was expected to play after practicing on Friday. "It's his ability, in his mind, at least, to move". Chicago made its first six tries from beyond the arc, including all three by Markkanen, to equal the previous stretch from March 21-April 2, 2017.
