These manufacturers have debuted brand new PC models that are created to work with Alexa at this week's International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Soon the voice assistant Amazon Alexa will appear on thousands of computers under control of operating system Windows 10. Current users won't be missing out on Alexa, as they have promised that Alexa will be made available on select devices through updates.

Over the weekend, Bloomberg learned that Rochester, New York-based company Vuzix is unveiling its Alexa-enabled smart glasses at the largest consumer technology trade show this week.

They'll be on the market later this year, and they will be pricey, about $1,000, but Travers says the hope is to eventually have them for sale for under $500. Jeep added the technology to the 2018 Cherokee and the BMW Group plans to roll out Alexa to BMW and MINI models starting later this year.

It's worth noting that Amazon and Apple aren't the first ones to bring AR glasses to the market. And so here we are, with more news of Amazon and partners integrating Alexa into every product that might come to mind - glasses, cars, mirrors, microwave ovens, mobile accessories, computers and many others.

With Alexa's entry to Windows 10 devices, the digital assistant now poses a greater threat to Siri and Google Assistant. Alexa lives in the cloud, so she's always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to your device automatically.

Amazon hasn't said whether it will release its own branded smart glasses with Alexa, but Travers expects it to happen.
