Mourinho responds over move for 'phenomenal' Sanchez

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the 29-year-old Mexico forward is among a number of targets Manchester United have looking into in the January transfer window.

And in his press conference on Friday, the United boss did not deny his club could move for Alexis.

Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, who is out of contract in the summer and is expected to join Manchester City, and Leicester City star Jamie Vardy are the other two on the wishlist, with both valued at around £35m.

West Ham would want to recoup that fee to allow the 29-year-old to leave, but now the forward is the cheapest and simplest deal to complete of the three players they are interested in. I don't know but, probably this weekend, he's going to defend Arsenal colours, so I don't think it's correct to say things about Alexis Sanchez.

'At the general level what I can say is myself and the Manchester United board, the owners, we don't believe a lot in the January market, we don't believe in signing a player just to sign a player, just to do something, we don't believe in that.

WWE's Triple H comments on his meeting with UFC star Ronda Rousey
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstar Ronda Rousey has had her share of ups and downs in UFC and is now on hiatus from the octagon. Those rumors have swirled ever since Rousey appeared inside the ring alongside The Rock at WrestleMania 31 in 2015.

"We don't believe in signing a player just to sign a player, just doing something - we don't believe in that".

"But in relation to Alexis Sanchez I don't say a word".

The Telegraph says United, whose players return from warm-weather training in Dubai on Friday, feel that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's follow-up injury problems after his cruciate ligament injury have left them short of back-up for Romelu Lukaku, and that as a effect his form is suffering.

The deal may also make sense for Arsenal, but Sanchez appears determined to move to City, and it may be hard to persuade the Chile worldwide his future lies anywhere other than the Etihad Stadium.
