Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster arrested on marijuana charge

49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested by Tuscaloosa, Ala. police on Friday for possession of marijuana, according to the Sheriff of Tuscaloosa County's website. FanRag Sports confirmed the arrest by a database search.

Niners Wire's Chris Biderman shared a picture of Foster's recent arrest photo, which states the charge and a bond of $2,500.

He was the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month in November. He then failed a mandatory drug test, which came back as dilute and, per league rules, had to be treated as positive. Last March, Foster was sent home from the NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis after getting belligerent with a hospital worker during his routine physical. He suffered an ankle injury during Week 1, which forced him to miss the next five games. No member of the San Francisco defense had more tackles for loss than Foster, who finished the year with seven.
