Square sent out a quick reminder that gamers can get their hands on the free open beta client right now, which will last from January 12th, 2018 up until January 21st, 2018.

Square provided details of Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT's Beta, including session times.

Compatible with 21:9 ultra-wide monitors - Up to three HD monitors can be used for a potential 48 (16x3):9 experience.

New Game Plus and New Game Minus - Post-game content modes are now accessible from the beginning of the game.

The open beta does not require PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer, though the full game does require the subscription.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, a rejigged version of the utterly brilliant PS2 JRPG from 2006, is hitting PC on February 1, Square Enix announced overnight.

Three background music options - The original, re-orchestrated and soundtrack versions will be available from the beginning of the game.

In celebration of the game's launch there will be a special launch programme on the 2nd February at 08:00GMT / 09:00CET that will see Producer Hiroaki Kato and Director Takashi Katano answering questions from Final Fantasy fans on Twitter. Also available to download now from the PlayStation Store, the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT open beta comes in at around a rather hefty 18GB, but the best part is that you don't have to wait long for it to start - the whole thing's set to kick off later today.
