Attorney: Government plans to appeal immigration ruling

The spouse and the children, the minor children, of people who receive green cards to come to the United States should obviously be able to accompany them. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., for a "clean DACA bill".

"Dreamers", people brought to the US illegally as children, and other supporters of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, listened, Wednesday, as lawmakers spoke at the Capitol in Washington.

According to The Washington Post, U.S. District Judge William Alsup blocked the Trump administration's plan to phase out DACA protections in a January 9 ruling, meaning the safeguards against deportation for the nearly 690,000 people protected by the program must stay in place as a legal challenge to ending DACA moves forward.

"We have different groups working on it right now". Democrats want the bill to include protections for Dreamers after President Donald Trump made the move to wind down DACA, the Obama-era program protecting the children from deportation.

"The press office does not tamper with official transcripts, and corrects errors as needed", said Deputy White House Press Secretary Raj Shah. Trump past year ended the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The Congressional Black Caucus is expected to oppose any end to the diversity visa, however, because it would end most immigration from Africa.

"There is a reason why the President has said that is not acceptable to him and sent everybody back to the same drawing board that Kevin McCarthy drew up on Tuesday", Cotton said after the meeting. "That's not a legitimate basis for ending the program".

This morning, January 10th, Trump responded to Alsup's decision with rage, tweeting that the court system was "broken and unfair."

The move fuels an already bitter row over the dossier, which critics say amounts to "fake news". Cohen depicts himself in the Fusion lawsuit as "collateral damage" in a campaign against Trump.

"The new administration didn't terminate DACA on policy grounds", Alsup wrote in the opinion. Dick Durbin, Jeff Flake, Lindsey Graham, Michael Bennet, Cory Gardner and Bob Menendez - has continued to hammer away at this and should have some kind of product in the coming days, sources say. "There would be another lawsuit, but that would then be a hard lawsuit to win".

The ruling from U.S. District Judge William Alsup said the administration must resume receiving DACA renewal applications for existing enrollees while lawsuits play out in court.

"It does not open the doorway now for new applications", he said. Just 24 hours earlier he had said that he would not sign any bill to codify DACA that did not include funding for the border wall.

"I think best case scenario for us right now is Dream act legislation attached with border security, and what worries us is the longer this conversation goes on, longer negotiations are drawn out, the possibility of other harmful things being attached", said Quiñonez of the ongoing negotiation.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., said the ruling should "not undercut the urgency" for Congress to pass a law.

"While delay or inaction will cause significant negative impact to businesses, hundreds of thousands of deserving young people across the country are counting on you to work in a bipartisan way to pass permanent legislative protection for dreamers without further delay", the letter said.
