ICSE exams to begin on February 26, ISC on February 7

As per the scheduled dates, from March 3 the CBSE will be conducting examinations for Class X and XII, while for Class X the exams will end on April 4, for Class XII it will end on April 12.

The CISCE has changed the passing marks for both ISC and ICSE students.

The examinees had been on the tenterhooks for weeks waiting for the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations to announce the dates.

As per the latest notification issued by the Council on January 10, for the ICSE, the pass marks would be 33% instead of the present 35% and for the ISC examination, the pass marks would be 35% instead of the present 40%. The Board has also made a decision to implement the new pass mark criteria for class 10, 12 students from examination year 2018, instead of 2019 which was reported by in this site earlier. The ISC exams start with physics paper II (practical) and end with psychology on April 2.

However, the CISCE said that the timetable was subject to change depending on the Assembly election dates.

The board will give 15 minutes prior time to candidates to read the question paper. The ISC theory exams will start on February 12 and the test will run until March 28.

The all important Mathematics paper for the duration of 03 hours will be held on February 26. No more the students will appear for English I as the first paper. CBSE exams will be from 10.30am-1.30pm; CISCE exams will begin at 11am.
