Hoda Kotb officially named 'Today' co-anchor

Kotb started her broadcast career in local news, anchoring and reporting for stations in New Orleans and Fort Myers.

Kotb, 53, will co-host the first two hours of the morning show alongside Guthrie, making the NBC program anchored exclusively by a female team.

According to a show insider that spoke to Page Six, Kotb is content with her pay.

In addition to her slot co-anchoring the fourth hour of the show with Kathie Lee Gifford, Kotb now co-anchors the first hour with Savannah Guthrie. Megyn Kelly reportedly earns $20 million for hosting the 9 a.m. hour. The double job might be the reason Kotb received a promotion from the network.

The picture is directed by Sylvain White , who also helmed 2007's " Stomp the Yard ", and stars Javier Botet as Slender Man . The character gained tons of popularity over the last half decade thanks to Parsec Studios' Slender video games.

She's also a correspondent for Dateline NBC, the author of three books, and the host of "The Hoda Show" on Sirius XM. "Hoda isn't complaining about the money". They also added that if Kotb decides to renew her contract, she might have the opportunity to ask for more money. "But the figures underline the huge wage disparity at NBC News". Guthrie also gushed to People about Kotb being "such a natural" when it came to parenting. While former "Today" host has an estimated net worth of $60 million, his successor has managed to make $12 million, according to Time Magazine.

NBC management took it day by day and made a decision to keep Kotb in the chair in December. Viewers have watched her successfully battle breast cancer and adopt an infant child during her run on the programme, where cast members often share the milestones and challenges in their personal lives. She carries the title of New York Times bestselling author. It's not how much the network is paying Kotb that has triggered thousands of impulses to let loose on Twitter, but rather a question as to whether NBC is paying Kotb enough.

Since Lauer did occupy Today coanchor chair for over two decades, seniority could be a factor here, but it's frankly unacceptable that Kotb's salary comes nowhere within spitting distance of Lauer's exorbitant salary. "And I think it makes us appreciate it so much more". I wondered if now would be the time to subvert the formula of "male host/female host" that every morning show has (as do most news shows in general) and *gasp* have two female hosts! "He was sweet this morning. Certain texts popped up, and there was one from Matt: 'Congratulations!' He said some nice words", Kobt told E! on Tuesday. In an inward email declaring Kotb's co-grapple part Tuesday, NBC News Chairman Andy Lack said Kotb and Guthrie have a "certain association with each other and above all, with watchers". NBC News reported there may be many as eight accusers, though tallying is hard as the accounts have been anonymous.
