Ellen DeGeneres mourns the loss of her father

Ellen DeGeneres is paying tribute to her late father Elliott DeGeneres, who sadly passed away earlier this week.

"He was 92 years old", she said.

"He was Christian Science his entire life, he never had medicine his whole life - never went to a doctor", she shared with her audiences. We never had a vaccination.

"I dont wanna say this next season is gonna be even messier, but I have invested heavily into a whipped cream company", she added. There was not one bone of judgement in his body. "He was very amusing". It wasn't unexpected. I was able to say goodbye. DeGeneres noted that as she left her studio shortly after calling her father, she spotted an unbelievable rainbow in the sky.

"But as I left the building and looked back, I saw a rainbow over the Warner Brothers building; and this was what I saw 10 minutes after I talked to my dad". Studios. He loved this business.

Station fire causing severe delays for travellers from the East
The station was evacuated and no casualties were reported, a spokeswoman for East Midlands ambulance service said. About 60 firefighters have been tackling a large fire at Nottingham station.

"He was very proud of me, he loved this show".

Ellen also revealed her dad sent her a colourful message upon his passing - a rainbow over the studio where she films her daily show.

"My dad and me", the comedian tweeted with a throwback picture of her, her dad and her brother Vance.

The talk-show host added that her family only took one vacation - when she was little, the family visited the Warner Bros. lot, where DeGeneres now films her talk show.
