Aamir Khan sings praises for Saif Ali's Kaalakaandi

Saif says, "With a lot of content out there, watching a film in a theatre makes you feel closer to family and friends".

Aamir Khan took to twitter to compliment and congratulate the whole team behind Sail Ali Khan starrer Kaalakaandi.

Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, the film boast of an eclectic ensemble of Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam. Aamir saw the film at a special screening and posted a picture consisting of his thoughts about the film. He wrote, "Kaalakaandi is one of the funniest I have seen in a long time". Haven't laughed this since I read the script of Delhi Belly. Absolutely loved all the performances. Saif was outstanding! What a debut Akshat (director)! "Proud of you. Don't miss this one guys, it releases tomorrow", is what Aamir signed off his tweet with. The name of Saif's film "Kaalakandi" is Marathi slang for things went horribly wrong. After given 73 cuts by Central Board of Film Certification, the producers approached Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, who passed it with two cuts and an "A" certificate.

Despite being one of the prominent Khans in Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan is always known for his intellectual approach to filmmaking.

Totally a filmy Friday it is as three distinct films- Kaalakaandi, 1921 and Mukkabaaz have released today at the Box Office.


Aamir has previously collaborated with Akshat Verma in 2011's Delhi Belly.
