Trump Says He's Not Under Investigation, But 'Maybe Hillary Is'

Reports surfaced on Thursday that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents in Little Rock, Ark., were probing whether the Clinton Foundation took part in any pay-to-play politics while Clinton was secretary of state.

The investigation, led by the FBI field office in Little Rock, Arkansas, is being overseen by the USA attorney's office in the state, according to the source.

Attorney-General Jeff Sessions asked Justice Department prosecutors to decide if a special counsel should be appointed to investigate certain Republican concerns, including alleged wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation and the sale of a uranium company to Russian Federation, according to media reports last November.

The investigation may also examine whether any tax-exempt assets had been converted for personal or political use and whether the foundation complied with tax laws, the Washington-based newspaper cited the officials as saying.

Clinton's spokesman blasted the probe in a statement on Friday, calling it a political distraction.

But, luckily for us Greater Anglia have reassured us they are planning on running a full service for all three days. Commuters on the 07:00 Southampton to London Waterloo service told the BBC it was "quieter than normal".

"Time after time, the Clinton Foundation has been subjected to politically motivated allegations, and time after time these allegations have been proven false", said Craig Minassian, a spokesperson for the Clinton Foundation. "The Clinton Foundation has demonstrably improved the lives of millions of people across America and around the world while earning top ratings from charity watchdog groups in the process". It began with a now long-debunked project spearheaded by Steve Bannon during the presidential campaign.

President Donald Trump said on Saturday he wasn't under investigation for collusion with Russian Federation but suggested "maybe Hillary is", referring to former Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. "It continues with [Attorney General] Jeff Sessions doing Trump's bidding by heeding his calls to meddle with a department that is supposed to function independently", Nick Merrill said in a statement.

The Clinton Foundation, founded in 1997 by former US President Bill Clinton, has become a multi-billion dollar organization.

The U.S. Attorney's Office, as well as the Justice Department, declined to comment in the CNN story.
