Keenan Allen scores on circus play following Melvin Gordon fumble

With two outstanding edge rushers in the form of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, the Chargers defense has the ability to make life hard for opposing offenses, and that is exactly what they did, really for most of the game. Saddled by an 0-4 start, Los Angeles missed the playoffs for the seventh season in eight years.

The Raiders were actually leading at one point in this game.

The Bolts pressured the Raiders enough where they settled for a 30-yard field goal and took a 10-7 lead.

The margin grew with in the third quarter, after Rose's 25-yard field goal and Travis Benjamin's 62-yard touchdown catch.

That was all she wrote for the Raiders. Gordon also completed 6 receptions for 31 yards.

Philip Rivers completed 28-for-37 passes for 387 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. This was the first time in 2017 where he averaged over 8.0 yards per attempt and did not win the ball game. The Raiders had fourth-and-2 on the Chargers' 18-yard line.

While Cooper had one of his better games of the season, there was no doubt who the best receiver was in this ball game. The Raiders answered back quickly on 3rd and 22, deep in Chargers territory, Derek Carr launched a rocket pass on a post route over the top to Amari Cooper for an 87-yard touchdown catch, and the 7-7 tie. Not being able to slow down running back Melvin Gordon turned this one into a lopsided affair. The Chargers really wanted to win this game.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers continues to play at a high level and has achieved yet another milestone against the Raiders Week 17. Maybe next year, guys.

Rivers became just the ninth player to reach 50,000 career passing yards in league history in the first quarter of Los Angeles' contest against their division rivals.

Allen finished with nine catches for 133 yards in the latest spectacular game in his Pro Bowl season.

Joey Bosa: Bosa had five tackles, two solo, two quarterback hits, a sack, a tackle for a loss of yardage and a fumble recovery.

The Chargers can qualify for the playoffs if they defeat the Raiders, the Titans lose to the Jaguars and the Ravens beat the Bengals. With 2017 in the rearview mirror, the team will now look to 2018, but before our focus shifts to the offseason; here are four, quick observations from today's game. They are going to have a great pick in the upcoming draft.

Rivers clicked with Tyrell Williams on a 56-yard scoring pass as the Chargers went back into the lead 14-10. Expect many changes to happen to this team in the coming days, weeks and months.
