Vin Diesel's next film scheduled for release is Avengers: Infinity War, where he will voice Groot once again, on May 4, 2018.

If you were surprised by this year's highest-paid model and highest-paid actress - not to mention the highest-paid woman in music - you'll definitely want to check out Forbes' list of the top-grossing actors of 2017. The only film that brought in more was Beauty and The Beast with $1.263 billion and since The Last Jedi is still only sitting at 745 million at the time of writing it looks like there were no other significant contenders this year.

Hollywood actor Vin Diesel has defeated his "Fast and Furious" co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to be named this year's top grossing actor. In addition to the two titles, Diesel also voiced Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, bringing his total box office haul for 2017 movies to $1.6 billion.

Diesel's "Fast And Furious" co-star Johnson came in second; The Rock, whose releases this year have so far pulled in Dollars 1.5 billion with "Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle" still out in cinemas. The film only made $225 million at the domestic box office.

Next year Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland and numerous actors in the MCU might be at the top. And thanks to Wonder Woman gracing our screens twice with both Wonder Woman and Justice League Gal Gadot managed to come in at number 3, with a total of $1.4 billion.

The rest of the top ten included Emma Watson, Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth and John Boyega.
