FX Orders Pose, Featuring Largest Transgender Series Cast

The American Horror Story writer's latest series, a dance musical co-starring Evan Peters, Kate Mara and James Van Der Beek, was ordered for eight episodes to make up its first season, according to Deadline.

FX announced on Wednesday that it is giving a series order to Pose, the Ryan Murphy drama that will feature the largest cast of transgender series regulars in American TV history.

FX has ordered a full season of the '80s-themed dance musical, which explores the "juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in NY: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world", according to a news release sent to HuffPost.

Among the history-making actors are a number of theatre artists including MJ Rodriguez (Street Children), Dominique Jackson (Incongruence), and Hailie Sahar (Charm), as well asIndya Moore, and Angelica Ross. Further, more than 50 LGBTQ characters will appear in the series, which Murphy says is also a record. "I can't wait for people to see this incredibly talented, passionate cast".

Celtic fans react to Jonny Hayes injury
If true, it's a bitter blow for Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers who is already without Patrick Roberts until March. Dundee remain in tenth spot after a 1-1 draw at Motherwell but have lost just two of their past seven games.

The series, slated for a summer release, is from co-creators Murphy, Brad Falchuk ("Glee", "Scream Queens") and Steven Canals.

As part of the producer's Half Foundation, the series will also invite trans directors to be guided through his Directing Mentorship Program. Murphy is directing the first two episodes.

The show is scheduled to begin production in February 2018 in NY, and expected to premiere later in the summer on FX.
